Thomas Hammar, CPA, MBA Owner Mr. Hammar graduated from Moline High School in 1972 and Augustana College in 1976. He received his MBA from St. Ambrose University in 1989. Tom worked for several other businesses in the accounting field before he purchased this practice in November of 1988. Tom is actively involved in many community activities including his local church and the Rock Island Rotary. Tom resides in Moline with his wife Sue. Bill Karben, CPA Mr. Karben graduated from United Township High School in 1983 and Iowa State University in 1987. He has also taken additional undergraduate and graduate level classes from Western Illinois University and the University of Iowa. Bill has been in public accounting for over 15 years including 11 years with a national accounting firm before joining this firm in 2008. Bill is actively involved in the community and in the profession including being the past president of the local CPA and IMA associations. Sandy Balk, CPA Mrs. Balk graduated from Moline High School in 1977 and Augustana College in Rock Island with a BA in Accounting and Business in 1981. Sandra has been in public accounting for 23 years working for a national accounting firm for 18 years before joining Thomas Hammar in 2009. Sandra specialized in individual and estate taxes. Bob Anderson, CPA Mr. Anderson received his B.S. degree in Business from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA. He has over 22 years of pulic accounting experience, as well as 6 years of experience working in the private sector. His main specialties include tax preparation and planning.
